Letterbox Fulfilment UK

Slim products can offer useful packaging options, but a product that looks small is not automatically suitable for a letterbox service. 3PLWOW can assess your packed orders and build a picking, packing and dispatch workflow around suitable dimensions, protection and carrier requirements.

Built around your operation

Small products. A properly planned packing process.

Practical details, clear instructions and a fulfilment process shaped around your products.

01

Measure the finished parcel

Start with the complete packed order, including its outer packaging, inserts and protective material. Product dimensions alone do not determine the service. Different carriers and postal products have their own size, weight and acceptance conditions, which must be checked when agreeing your dispatch options.

02

Decide which baskets qualify

One flat item may fit while a two-item basket does not. Create a packing matrix covering the combinations you actually sell: one item, multiple items, a bundle and a promotional order. Define when an order moves to a larger parcel format rather than forcing it into an unsuitable pack.

03

Choose packaging that protects what is inside

Cards, paper goods, sachets and compact accessories can need different protection against bending, movement or moisture. Test the package with real products and agree where labels go. Avoid treating an attractive slim mailer as evidence that a delicate item will survive the journey.

04

Document samples, inserts and exceptions

A leaflet or gift can change the packed thickness. If a promotion adds an item, review the service rules before orders reach the warehouse. Use clear SKU instructions for what is included and flag combinations that require a different box, bag or manual decision.

05

Compare the whole fulfilment cost

Look at picking, additional items, packaging and shipping together. A smaller pack is not necessarily the lowest total cost if it adds assembly work or fails to protect the goods. We quote around the agreed packing method and basket mix, with service prices confirmed for your requirements.

06

Prepare your sample order profile

For an assessment, send unit dimensions and weights, representative basket combinations, monthly volumes and current packaging details. Tell us whether delivery tracking or other service features are needed. We can then discuss suitable storage, packing materials and supported dispatch options from Blyth.

Straight answers

Your questions, answered.

Does letterbox fulfilment guarantee delivery through every letterbox?

No. Household openings vary, and service-format acceptance is not a guarantee that every address can receive a parcel through its letterbox.

Can all my orders use the same small-parcel service?

Only if their finished dimensions, weights and contents meet that service’s conditions. Mixed baskets may need different services.

Can you work with branded mailers?

We can discuss client-supplied or agreed packaging, subject to suitability, stock availability and the documented packing method.
