The inbound process includes moving raw materials, storing and transporting goods from a different distribution such as a retail store. On the other hand, outbound logistics involve delivering items to the end client.

Both processes are crucial in maintaining an accurate inventory. If you haven’t received and reported your inventory during the inbound processes (for example, by the company’s receiving department), it’s nearly impossible to maintain an accurate system or record.
